This organization is not run by only one person. There are many people who help put our website together. Throughout the history of Velociteen’s current 3-year existence, we have had lots of teen staff members ranging from ages 10 to 26 help coordinate projects and innovations within our website. These are the people, along with our visitors, who help keep our website standing. Thank you for all of your help, and we appreciate your support.
Behind the Name

We have gotten a lot of questions as to what our name actually means and how it was derived. Well, the name “Velociteen” is derived from the words “teen” and “velocity”. Velocity equals the rate of speed. With that being said, the adolescent years go by fast, but they seem to last forever. Basically, we named our website “Velociteen” to describe the velocity of your life as a teenager.

We want teens to exercise their freedom of speech. We also offer ways to help make a difference online, in your community, and throughout the world.
